at least it seems to no better guarantee of meeting someone than any other method, just a whole bunch of people who have no right to be picky being picky. ffs people, there's a reason you are still single and you just can't see it. either you have some odd personality quirk that renders you unable to actually use a phone to ring someone and see where they are, or you don't even bother fucking well replying to emails, or you are so busy having a life you don't make the time to build a friendship, let alone be available to get asked out, or, and as a final ranting point, you casually and cold-heartedly break plans, without giving a shit if you hurt someone.

i guess i am just angry, tired, and a whole lot cynical at this stage of my life, i may not have a six-figure salary, and i am neither particularly tall nor athletic, but surely i deserve to be with someone who appreciates my redeeming qualities, such as they are. i just want to meet someone who complements me as a person, and i do likewise for them, a friend, a lover, all that sort of shit.
